Nice location really easy to get to from Gare du Nord. Best Metro station to use to find the hotel is St George. Excellent shower in the bathroom. Air con unit was just inside the door. Down the road from the St George Metro station is sports bar with Sky sports.Plenty of restaurants and cafes round and about the hotel.
The outside street is a quite noisy and there could be better double glazing to combat this. TV had only two channels.
Front desk service-Martin was extremely helpful.Offered to look online to check whether flight was canceled due to volcanic eruption recently.Bed was small but enough for Asian sizes. Was cold on the 1st night and heater was couldn't be switched on.Convenient as there's supermarket, Asian cuisine restaurants, laundrette & Metro station within 5-10 mins walk. They offered a Twin bed at the price of a single room when I had to stay alone without a friend for the rest of my trip, which was extended due to the cancellation of flights. No need to worry about belongings much as nothing was stolen eventhough I left newly bought designer bags in the room. Nice and cozy hotel. Vehicle noise outside didn't disrupt sleep as it was in a quiet street.
On the 1st night, some silly guest/s tried to open my room door using their own key; which was obviously not the right one at around 12am. This can be pretty scary if you're staying alone in the room thinking that someone was trying to barge into your room. Although it is 10 mins walk from Moulin Rouge, it is still ok to walk there at night only if you're not alone, and it's located near Pigalle Street which was claimed to be a red light district by the French.
The hotel is centrally located, walking distance to the St Lazare shopping district and Montremarte, and a few subway stops from all other sights. It is just a few doors away from our favorite restaurant in Paris, Les Coulisses, whose chef uses the freshest and best produce to make deliciously innovative dishes that are still unmistakably French, with a wine list and excellent service to match. We wish we could eat there every week at least.
Very helpful staff, excellent location near Paris attractions. Adequate room facilities, altho a fridge would have been useful. Enoyed the optional breakfast, but many cafes nearby. Would recommend to anyone looking for good inexpensive accommodation for a trip to Paris. Couple (50's) Melbourne, Australia
It's within 12 min walking distance from St. Lazare Train Station and 5 min away from Moulin Rouge. The subway is really close (1min), the stuff was helpful and the room was very clean.
There is no free surf. The internet connection costs pretty much...around 3EUR/ 15 min.
Comfortable hotel in good locality (at metro station).Staff is very compliant.
Little bit noisy (you can hear sounds from other rooms).Rooms are smaller but comfortable.
The staff. The young man who was multi lingual, I believe his name was Martin?, was a great help. Very kind and personable. I'm in the hotel biz and know you should keep him at all costs. He's a great asset to the Albion.
The bed was was to hard. We stayed in several Hotels on this trip and yours was the hardest, most uncomfortable bed of all, it made my shoulders stiff and numb.I suggest you upgrade the mattresses or offer a pad for those of us that don't like to sleep on a board.
Very friendly staff, very nice location and quiet in the evenings
I liked the hotel location. It was within a walking distance from Opera and Montmartre. On the street next to the one where the hotel located, many interesting food stores, including Chinese deli / restaurants, a wine shop, a cheese shop, a butchery, and a very popular bakery with many local customers. Also, Carrefour City is just the opposite of the hotel. So, while the hotel is located conveniently close to tourist areas, the area itself was full of local color, which was quite nice. The hotel was quite cozy. Most of the hotel staff members could speak English, and were quite friendly. All the facilities in the room were, not luxurious off course, but good. Water presser of hot water was always good, and room cleaning was just perfect.
Nothing serious. But from time to time, I heard very large noise from other rooms. It did not as loud as disturb our sleep, but just I noticed people are in the rooms around ours.
Excellent staff who were helpful & spoke English
Staff was very helpful and kind and the room perfectly clean. The location of the hotel is ideal, just 2min from the metro station. There are shops of any kind near the hotel which proved to be very useful.
We told them we were honeymooners and when we arrived they surprised us with a bottle of champagne, a personal note from the owner and two nice glasses. It was a very nice gesture and we loved it. We could see the Eiffel Tower from our window and the bathroom was a lot larger than what we expected. Rooms are not huge but they are not small for Paris. Everything was very clean and the location is perfect for the price.
Nice 2 stars, good location, clean and good value for money (considering Paris prices)
I booked a single room, which was extremely small. A little warm during the night since I could not use the airconditioning because the air flow was direct on the bed.
Excellent location: close to Opera and La Fayette galleries, but away from noisy boulevards, a real Paris atmosphere with nice bistros (well priced),small cafe, boutiques ,but also an Carrefour market just across the street and a taxi stop a few metres away, very convenient for busy travelers. The rooms are small like all hotels in Paris but very cosy, I note this hotel has a big elevator for 6 persons (and very quiet!) and also spacious bathrooms ( I stayed in more expensive hotels and didn,t get this comfort!). Very nice and helpfull staff! We will come again to stay in this hotel.
No complaints,everything was fine .
The staff was very responsive, breakfast good, good location, and extremely clean. I would recommend the hotel wholehearterly.
the room on the street was a little bit noisy. If we opened the windows we could hear the conversations going on in a cafe downstairs but then again, cafes are part of the culture, right?
